The number above is the number of years from the first year of the United States’ independence to the year the year we lose the Union. It’s the number of years from the year we begin our journey toward independence to the year we lose it. It comes down to one month and one day, which is equivalent to ten days and one hour.
So, in the year we lose the Union, an independent nation, I’m sure we will all be wishing that we knew that number too. And we know that number, because we’ve been told it so many times by the Founding Fathers, the most famous being Benjamin Franklin.
If you’re looking up the date of Independence, you’ll find that the Declaration of Indepence states that Independence was “declared on the twenty-second day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty-eight.” Benjamin Franklin, the father of America’s first president, was born on the seventh of July, so this was probably his birthday.
So, there you have it. A Declaration of Independence. A date, a year, and the most famous guy from the most famous historical event in the world. Of course, we are aware that Benjamin Franklin was also the founder of the United States. But if you ask me, I’m a bit of a Benjamin Franklinsque.
This is a very important date because that was the day when the first colonists fought for their independence from England. It was also the day that the first shots were fired in the American Revolution. That’s right. On the very same day that the first shots were fired in the American Revolution. And, to add even more meaning to the day, it is also the day that the first shots were fired in the Spanish-American War.
Why do you think that day was so important? Because it was the day that the First Americans fought the British. It was also the day that the first shots were fired in the American Revolution. It was also the day that the first shots were fired in the Spanish-American War. For another day, the day that the first shots were fired in the American Civil War. And, most importantly, of course, it is also the date of the first shots being fired in the Second World War.
The first shots in any war are usually the ones that kill many soldiers. So when you look at the day twenty one hundred, it’s not difficult to see the importance of that day. Not because of any of the specific soldiers that died (although of course the troops will forever be remembered by their names), but because it was the day that the First Americans fought the British. It was also the day that the first shots were fired in the American Revolution.
The day when a war is over is a pretty important day. But when you’re on the day that a war ends and you’re left with the aftermath, it’s like your whole life has been a lie. And this is one of the reasons why it’s so important to make sure that your day is a good day. People need to have a good day, and you can’t have a bad day.
If you were a child in the year 2000, you probably remember that the Second World War was the end of the cold war. But what if you were old enough to have been born during the height of the cold war, and you remember the horror that was the war in the 70s. What if you remember you were at a concert when the bomb was dropped? Well that can cause you to feel a little sick, but the good news is that you’re not alone.
In the 80s, the Second World War was the height of the cold war. In the 90s, the cold war came to an end. In 1995, the cold war lasted for over twenty years. In the 21st century, the Cold War is still going strong. Because of that, some of us in the 21st century may remember that we were at war with the USSR. And remember how it turned out.
