I was recently talking to my mom about her health issues and she said she feels like she never has a moment without her phone ringing or taking a call from someone who just can’t take a moment without her. This is a common experience for many of us, even though we may not realize it. A medical checkup is a great way to keep your own body healthy, so I asked her how she has been treating her health issues.

She said she has her doctor’s appointments and a general checkup, but she feels she needs to have a more thorough physical and medical exam at least once a year. Most people don’t have a routine physical and medical exam, but those of us with no routine health care may need one more time a year than most. Having your own medical checkups is also a great way to make sure you’re staying on top of things.

A good routine can really help you with that. It also helps you to know your body well enough, so that you can make good food choices.
