I’m going to go ahead and call it a hard stop. The fact is I will never stop doing certain things or thinking certain thoughts. For example, in the last few days I have been getting up late and then I’ve been going to bed late. Or in the last few weeks I have been getting up early and then going to bed early. The end result is the same.
The problem is that our subconscious is very good at this stuff. It’s always been like that. I don’t know if I will be able to stop doing these things forever, but I am certain that the more I do these things, the more trouble I will have. When you know your mind isn’t working, you know that you are on autopilot and you have to go back and correct the problem. Just like we all have to correct the mistakes of our own lives.
When we get up and go to bed we make a conscious effort to get the most out of our day. Our subconscious is very good at this stuff. Its always been like that. I dont know if I will be able to stop doing these things forever, but I am certain that the more I do these things, the more trouble I will have. The easiest way to correct a problem is to stop doing it. It sounds obvious, but the fact is that most of us do this automatically. When we get up in the morning, for example, we dont really think about what we are going to do after work until about 7:30. We just get out of bed, grab our cell phone, and answer it. We sit down then we wait for our brains to kick in and we get a little creative.
We tend to get more creative when we have a problem to solve. When you’re driving on autopilot, you are not thinking about what you are doing. You are just doing it. But when you have a problem, you are thinking about it because you have to. This is why you can get creative when you have a headache or a cold or a headache or a cold and a cold is the worst feeling in the world.
It’s not like we’re trying to find a way to get the house on autopilot, but we don’t want to. We want to get out of that house.
“But we have to get out of the house.” We could be very creative in finding that way. We could be very creative in the way we are going to avoid the house or the way we are going to get out of the house, but that way is not the way we want to go. We want to go the way we want to go. We want to go the way we want to go.
